Chock-full of Flavor Mushrooms
There is absolutely no excuse for vegetables to be boring, unappetizing, and anything but truly delicious. These mushrooms are a case in point. Besides being able to help prevent cancer and containing high amounts of fiber, the combination of chili grape seed oil and a bit of balsamic vinegar make them such a delicious dish you will have no trouble eating them right up, and can proudly serve them to your closest family and friends!
I begin with the following ingredients……
~Organic mushrooms (3, 8 oz cartons)
~1 organic bell pepper
~2 organic onions
~4 cloves organic garlic
And……the fun stuff! This is completely variable, but today I used
~Chili grape seed oil
~Salt and pepper
~Garlic salt, white pepper, and minced onions
~Balsamic vinegar
Start by rinsing/washing the mushrooms and bell pepper…..
*Cooking tip* When you are using organic ingredients, it’s not always necessary or beneficial to scrub them incredibly clean. A good water rinse, or rinse with organic apple cider vinegar followed by water does the trick.
Chop the mushrooms as desired, and dice the onions. When using small mushrooms I often leave them whole, as the round shape is super fun!
Dice the bell pepper……This can land in the same bowl, mine was just already full by that point. I don’t believe in more containers and utensils than necessary!
Meanwhile, heat up the pan and add the oil. Chop up the garlic and throw it in 🙂
Next add the veggies……..
And lots of spice 🙂 Have fun and go to town with what you have available and what sounds good to you…..
Stir on occasion, and cook until the veggies are soft. Feel free to add more oil as necessary. Add the balsamic vinegar at the end, drizzling over the pan 🙂
Yum!!!
